Milan G. Mody, MD, spine surgery specialist, has joined the faculty of The Spine Institute at Willis-Knighton, expanding its range of specialty services. Dr. Mody, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, completed training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas–Galveston, followed by a combined Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Spine Fellowship at M.D. Anderson and University of Texas-Houston. He is one of only a few spine surgeons in the country to receive advanced surgical training from both neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons. (More...)

Donald R. Smith, M.D., and J. Eric Bicknell, M.D., have been named co-medical directors of The Spine Institute, a joint effort of Willis-Knighton Health System and LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. The Spine Institute is comprised of a physician faculty of more than 20 physicians, including specialists from Willis-Knighton, LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Mid South Orthopedics, Highland Clinic, The Orthopedic Clinic and Shriners Hospital for Children.
